See Deryck Whibley's dream wedding with girlfriend Ariana Cooper

Canadian rocker Deryck Whibley is now a married man! The Sum 41 frontman said “I do” to girlfriend Ariana Cooper during a beautiful ceremony at the Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles. The union comes 16 months after Deryck was rushed to hospital as his organs started to shut down following years of alcohol abuse.

Speaking to Vice earlier this year, the 35-year-old admitted that he was, “feeling better than I’ve ever felt.” He also shared his optimism for the future, saying, “There are so many exciting things now. So many things are new for me. I’d never done anything sober … Now there’s this whole world out there and things I’m realizing I’ve never done.” Deryck has credited his bride with helping him overcome his addiction and health issues. The wedding, which took place on Aug. 30, marks the second marriage for the singer, having previously wed Avril Lavigne in 2006 before splitting three years later.

The bride wore custom Converse sneakers under her gorgeous gown!

According to E! News, the couple pledged their love for one another in front of 100 of their closest friends and family before dancing the night away. Guests dined on an impressive four-course meal catered by Wolfgang Puck, followed by a four-tier cake and doughnuts at midnight.

Naturally, music played a big role in the rocker's big day, with The Beatles' "Happy Together" sending them down the aisle as husband and wife and Frank Sinatra's "Cheek to Cheek" marking their first dance as newlyweds. Metallica's "Enter Sandman" heralded guests into the reception.

Ariana Cooper looked gorgeous in an embellished strapless white gown with her hair in a polished, braid-accented undo. Adding her own touch to the look (and perhaps humouring the couple's height difference), the bride wore white Converse sneakers under her dress. Congratulations to the happy couple!
