Justin Theroux has mixed feelings about his secret wedding to Jennifer Aniston – at least the planning process. The actor admits that in the walkup to their August nuptials, which took place at the couple’s home, it was tough to keep mum on the true nature of their party. The couple told friends it was a surprise party for Justin’s birthday.
“I wouldn’t say it was fun to plan. Part of the fun of planning a wedding is telling people, and we had to keep it under wraps,” Justin told New York Daily News.
The 44-year-old continued to say he felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders after they were finally able to reveal the truth.
“I noticed it almost immediately," he said. "It’s like your blood pressure goes down to PSI. It’s not like life is completely different. It’s a beautiful thing.”
It is not the first time Justin has spoken out about his new life as a married man. Speaking to People magazine three weeks after his big day, Justin said: “I’m very happy. It’s nice to be able to look down and see a new piece of jewellery on my finger.”
Jennifer and Justin surprised both fans and guests when they married in a romantic ceremony at their Bel Air home. They were joined by celebrity friends including Courteney Cox, Orlando Bloom and Ellen DeGeneres for their nuptials, before jetting away on honeymoon to Bora Bora.
Both Justin and Jennifer have since returned to work, with the actress saying she was “deliriously happy”, but refusing to give away too much about her big day.
“We had the beautiful luxury of having a beautiful private moment and I’m going to be selfish and keep it that way!" Jennifer told Entertainment Tonight.
