Pippa Middleton's 2017 marriage to fiancé James Matthews is set to be one of the biggest weddings of the year, and fans are clamouring for more details. Now the timing is becoming clearer as a friend of the bride-to-be's told People that Kate's sister's big day will take place in May.
“Of course she is super excited and already planning everything,” the friend continued. She also described the hedge fund manager as "charming and old-fashioned."
It was back in July that Pippa first showed off her gorgeous engagement ring, confirming in a statement to PA when she and James Matthews plan to marry. It read: "Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr James Matthews are delighted to announce they became engaged on Sunday 17 July and plan to marry next year."
There is already huge excitement surrounding the couple's impending nuptials, after he popped the question during a romantic break in the Lake District. Since then, Pippa, who will become a Lady after marrying, released a heart-healthy cookbook for charity called Heartfelt. But with this new detail on her special day, excitement is at an all-time high.
So what can we expect from the May wedding?
Pippa Middleton's wedding dress
There will no doubt be an army of top fashion designers queueing up to create the gown, after she became one of the most talked-about bridesmaids ever at Kate and Prince William's wedding. The designer behind Princess Diana's dress, David Emanuel, told the Mail how he'd dress the bride: "I personally would put her in something very soft, perhaps chiffon, with a train of course because it's dramatic."
Pippa Middleton's wedding party
Kate as maid of honour? Prince George as a pageboy? Princess Charlotte as the most adorable flower girl ever? We can see it now and it would be amazing.
James Matthews' best man
Will James' brother Spencer be best man at the wedding of the year? The Made in Chelsea lothario will definitely be amongst the high-profile guests, and it wouldn't be surprising if he took on the very important role.
