The wedding celebrations have truly begun! Sofia Vergara and her fiancé Joe Manganiello have arrived in Florida ahead of their lavish nuptials on Sunday evening.

The soon-to-be Mr and Mrs welcomed their family and friends to The Breakers hotel on Palm Beach on Thursday night, for a pre-wedding cocktail party.

The five-star Italian Renaissance-style resort, which has its own private beach, is also the same venue where Sofia and Joe will say "I do" in a few days.

More guests are expected to arrive over the weekend, especially as the night before the wedding Sofia and Joe will be hosting another soiree – a cocktails and dessert party – as the couple's invitation, obtained by HELLO!, shows.

The 43-year-old bride has invited several of her famous friends including her Modern Family co-stars.

To accommodate their 400 guests, Sofia and Joe have booked out over 100 rooms in the hotel as well as 50 private homes on Palm Beach. The lucky attendees will also have to hand in their mobile phones ahead of the ceremony to maintain the utmost privacy.

Everyone having fun is Sofia's main priority. It's no secret that the Hot Pursuit star is going all out with her nuptials and the entertainment is a big factor.

"To me, it's not all about perfection but all about fun," Sofia told E! News. "Great music, great alcohol and great food. It's a Latin party, we go until late. There's a party and an after party."

The Colombian beauty, who is a self-confessed cake addict, also revealed that the wedding cake and the desserts table will be a highlight of the reception.

As for the decor, Nolan Gould, who plays Luke Dunphy on Modern Family, dished: "Sofia's very flamboyant and she likes things big. I'm not giving specifics, but there might be animal-print tablecloths!"
