They've previously revealed that their wedding cost just £88, but Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have never publicly shared any photos from their wedding day until now. The Frozen star has given the first glimpse at her intimate nuptials during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning which aired over the weekend – and it is a far cry from some of the extravagant weddings hosted by their Hollywood peers.

The couple said "I do" inside the Beverly Hills Courthouse on 17 October 2013. With no guests present, they simply exchanged vows in front of a judge before signing documents and collecting their marriage license from a booth inside the courthouse.

Kristen Bell: Stardom on her terms

Kristen Bell shared a glimpse at her wedding during an interview on CBS Sunday Morning

New images released by Kristen show she shunned a traditional wedding dress for a tailored black ensemble and silver statement necklace. The bride wore her blonde hair down and looked emotional as she gazed at her new husband while clutching a single pink rose.

Meanwhile Dax donned a suit and bow tie for the occasion, which he has previously jokingly referred to as the "world's worst wedding".

Speaking shortly after their big day, Dax told US talk show host: "Friends of ours came to the courthouse. It was just Kristen and I at this lonely courthouse, so they brought us this cake afterwards. 'World's Worst Wedding.' How many people can say they threw 'The World's Worst Wedding?'"

Kristen and Dax have two young children together

The couple are now parents to daughters Lincoln, three, and Delta, nearly two, and Kristen got emotional when she discussed how Dax's battle with addiction has helped him to become an amazing father.

"He's a wonderful father," she said. "He knows the value of things. He was an addict for many, many years and he pulled himself out of it, and he's been sober for 11 or 12 years now… and he knows how many times he's messed up and how many times he's been really close to losing everything."
