Lamar Odom has broken his silence by speaking out against his estranged father and fiercely defending the Kardashian clan via his Twitter account.
The troubled basketball star tweeted "Seeing the snakes" on Tuesday night, his first post since his Aug. 30 DUI arrest. He followed with an extended tweet that referenced his estranged father, Joe Odom, claiming that he never called to check on him and that he wasn't around to raise him growing up.
"How can a man who has NOT once called me to check on my well being have the nerve to talk so recklessly about his own 'son,'" he said.
He went on to credit the family of his wife, Khloe Kardashian, as "the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time."
"He disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return," he wrote.
The tweet appears to be a response to a published interview with Lamar’s father, in which he claims the Kardashians ruined his son’s career and are to blame for his drug addiction.
These past few weeks have been a “dark time” for Lamar. Along with his DUI and reports of drug abuse, there have been rumours of infidelity and marital troubles with his wife Khloe. The pair been living separately since he was charged earlier this month with driving under the influence.
Khloe and Lamar will mark their fourth wedding anniversary this Friday.
