Gwyneth Paltrow hopes she’d ‘be forgiving’ of infidelity

After a decade with her husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow likes to think she’d “be forgiving and/or forgiven” if the issue of infidelity ever arose.

The Thanks For Sharing actress and general domestic goddess handled the idea of marital affairs rather matter-of-factly in an interview with Refinery29, though she admitted, “I can’t give an honest answer as I haven’t really experienced that.”

This isn’t the first time the 40-year-old mother to Apple, 8, and Moses, 6 has shared on marriage. In an earlier interview, she stated that “It’s hard being married. You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We’re the same as any couple.”

Gwyneth explained that the key to staying married for decades is never wanting to quit at the same time, something her father once told her.

In Thanks For Sharing, Gwyneth and Mark Ruffalo explore sex addiction through the lens comedy.

In regards to sex addiction, she revealed, “I’m an extremely open-minded person, so I think if it was something I knew I was getting myself into, I wouldn’t’ let it deter me from exploring the relationship.”
