‘Glee’ Cory Monteith tribute promo features heartbroken Lea Michele

The video promo for Glee's Cory Monteith tribute episode will tug at your heartstrings.

In the teaser for the upcoming episode titled “Quarterback," castmates say goodbye to Cory's character Finn Hudson over an emotional rendition of “Make You Feel My Love." Students at McKinley high school are seen gathering around Finn's old locker and leaving behind mementos like flowers, candles and a football.

Kurt (Chris Colfer) is shown crying and wearing a varsity football jacket, while Rachel (Lea Michele) looks heartbroken as she is comforted by teacher Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison).

"The hardest word to say is goodbye," reads a message on the screen. "Glee, a farewell to Finn."

Cory died tragically on July 13 in a Vancouver hotel room. The final autopsy report (released Wednesday) confirmed that a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol caused the actor’s death. He was 31 years old.

Cory’s co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele has been bravely coping with the loss, thanking her Twitter followers for their support and paying tribute to Cory by wearing a “Finn” pendant around her neck.

The Glee tribute episode is set to air on Thursday, Oct 10.
