Madonna to open Hard Candy Fitness club in downtown Toronto

Toronto residents yearning for a rock-hard body like Madonna’s need look no further: The 55-year-old pop star’s Hard Candy Fitness centre is set to open its doors downtown on Oct. 31.

Located at the Aura building on Yonge Street and Gerrard Street, the gym will feature high-end amenities, including steam rooms, saunas and state-of-the-art equipment, as well as Madonna-themed décor.

If that wasn’t enough to get your heart rate going, the Toronto branch will also boast a rooftop terrace, juice bar and its signature Addicted to Sweat workout classes.

Named after Madonna’s 2008 album, the club is the result of a partnership between the Material Girl, her manager, Guy Oseary, and Mark Mastrov, founder of 24 Hour Fitness.

The second North American branch after Mexico City, Toronto’s location is also the largest, at a whopping 42,000 square feet.

Hard Candy Fitness is already located in Rome, Sydney, Santiago, Mexico City, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Russia, and Berlin.

Madonna is expected to pay a visit to the Oct. 31 opening, so stay tuned!
