Casting calls have officially begun for 'The Bachelor Canada'

The Bachelor Canada has begun casting for 25 ladies and one lucky man to appear on the latest season of the reality dating show.

After former CFL player Brad Smith and Bianka Kamber found their happy ending at the end of season 1, which aired in 2012, HELLO! Canada was there to document their whirlwind romance. The couple are still going strong and have scheduled their wedding date for June 2014.

“Following last season’s successful fairytale ending for Brad and Bianka, The Bachelor Canada has already proven itself to be a series with true heart,” Nataline Rodrigues, director of original programming at Rogers Media, said in a statement.

As well as a fiancée, Brad got a gig as an entertainment host at City following his appearance on the show.

To apply to season 2, aspiring bachelors and bachelorettes must "Like" The Bachelor Canada's Facebook page and click on the “Casting Call” button to fill out a questionnaire.

Filming is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2014 and the show will air in the fall.

In the meantime, the American version of The Bachelor returns on Jan. 6, with fan-favourite Juan Pablo Galavis taking centre stage as the newest bachelor.
