Carly Rae Jepsen to make Broadway debut in 'Cinderella'

Carly Rae Jepesen is coming to Broadway.

The Canadian songstress is set to make her musical debut in Roders & Hammerstein's Cinderella on Feb. 4, 2014 for a 12-week run.

“Broadway has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I look forward to working with this incredibly talented cast to tell this classic tale,” Carly said in a statement.

“These last few years have been a real fairy tale come to life for me, so I feel especially blessed to play this part and be reminded that you must never stop dreaming!”

The Call Me Maybe singer, who starred in high school musical productions like Annie and Grease before attending the Canadian College of Performing Arts, replaces Laura Osnes (who earned a Tony nomination for the role). Joining her on stage is The Nanny's Fran Drescher, who will play Cinderella's stepmother, Madame.

The critically acclaimed play, which opened on March 3, 2013, has earned nine Tony award nominations this year.
