Zac Efron celebrates six months of sobriety

Zac Efron is continuing to make great strides on his road to recovery.

Just a few days before Christmas, the 26-year-old was spotted at a Los Angeles Lakers game wearing a blue Alcoholics Anonymous chip around his neck, which is awarded to an AA member when he has remained sober for six months.

The troubled star shocked fans last year after it was revealed that he had admitted himself into a treatment centre in late August to treat a cocaine and alcohol addiction.

The Parkland star then suffered another setback in November after slipping in a puddle and breaking his jaw.

Now clean and sober, the young actor is said to be moving on with his life and is focusing on his movie career.

His latest film, That Awkward Moment, is due out in theatres this month.
