Kangaroos and koalas and wombats, oh my!
All eyes are on the Duke and Duchess of Cambrdige (nee Kate Middleton) as they embark on the second leg of their tour Down Under with Prince George - and as any good tourists do when in Sydney, the trio enjoyed a sweet trip to the Taronga Zoo on Sunday (Apr. 20).
The city zoo in Sydney is home to 340 species of animals and is one of two zoos in Australia that have bred the platypus.
The Cambridge's visit was particularly special being that an enclosure for bilbies (marsupials that resemble a cross between a mouse and a kangaroo) was named after the bubbly baby boy.
As we ooh and ahh over Prince George's first sighting of the country's unique wildlife (not to mention his adorable encounter with a stuffed wombat!), we look back on other royals who have gotten up-close and personal with animals at Aussie zoos.
