Champagne and gorgeous men were the first things on offer as guests arrived at the big Kleinfeld opening at the Hudson's Bay in Toronto. With a glass of bubbly in hand, female guests were then "walked down the aisle" into a sprawling space full of more than 600 of the most divine wedding gowns! Hundreds of scenesters came to see what the to-do was all about, and this was clearly a big deal - rumour has it there are more than 2000 appointments already booked. The jewels! The dresses! Those massive fitting rooms! I do! I do! I do!
High fashion and glamour awaited guests at the 8th annual MOST WANTED, where a select group of Toronto's first fashion families gathered at Eagle's Nest Golf Course. While fabulous Ferraris lined the circular drive and bubbles flowed inside, all funds raised will go to benefit the new Immune Therapy Program supporting Gynecological Cancer Care at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
One of Canada's favourite fashion exports, Erdem, returned home recently for a very chic supper in his honour. A favourite of Anna Wintour, Erdem now dresses some of our favourites, from Duchess Kate to Emma Stone. The salon at The Room was transformed with magnificent cherry blossoms and stunning guests. Hollywood starlet Jessica Paré was a vision in lace and singer Molly Johnson couldn't stop talking about her black frock, saying "Can you believe this dress? It is so comfortable, I don't ever want to take it off!"
It was a sight to behold as captains of industry from across the country and some of Canada’s finest artists made their way to the National Arts Centre in Ottawa for the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards. Created in 1992, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards are Canada’s highest honour for the performing arts. This year’s laureates for Lifetime Artistic Achievement are Blue Rodeo, Tom Jackson, Brent Carver, Louise Lecavalier, Anik Bissonette, and Janine Sutto. The crowd in Southam Hall was thrilled when Blue Rodeo took to the stage at the end of the night for a surprise performance. Swoon!
