Kendall Jenner on her close friendship with Justin Bieber: 'Everybody loves to assume things'

Model-of-the-moment Kendall Jenner is opening up about her rise to fame, her passion for fashion, and why those rumours surrounding her and Justin Bieber are untrue. Speaking to Good Morning America, no topic was off limits for the candid star, who explained that her love of modelling came at a young age.

"I would always be looking at these supermodels who were so amazing to me, they were like superheroes," Kendall said.

"I want to be the best role model I can be to a little girl or to a little boy or to anybody."

The younger half-sister to Kim Kardashian also revealed that she doesn't enjoy suggestions that she hasn't earned her meteoric rise, adding: "In reality I worked hard for this. It's not like I just got it magically."

In 2014 alone, Kendall has found herself walking for Marc Jacobs in New York, Givenchy at Paris Fashion Week, and was also chosen by Karl Lagerfeld to appear in the Chanel show alongside Cara Delevingne.

She has now been announced as the new face of Estée Lauder.

Her close friendship with Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has also caused problems for her, with a recent Instagram post by the Baby singer causing fans to think they were dating.

"He's a longtime friend of our family. Everybody loves to assume things, but no," Kendall succinctly said when asked of their budding romance.

She also spoke about banning her sisters from the shows that she walks in, revealing: "It was more of a mutual understanding.

"I think if my sister was sitting front row and my sister is who she is, I know it sounds kind of weird but it would've almost taken the attention away from what I'm trying to do on my own."
