Instagram has released its annual report on the most-liked photos of the year – and it's no surprise that some of our favourite stars have topped the list!
Sitting in the number-one spot is Kim Kardashian, whose kissing post from her wedding to Kanye West garnered 2.4 million likes – making the romantic snap the most-liked photo of all time. To compare, Kim's recent nude #breaktheinternet post had just under 930,000 likes.
In second place comes Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, who posed for a selfie with his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez, in August. The black-and-white photo received 1.9 million likes and plenty of attention from fans, who wondered if the embattled pair were back together.
Proving that two starlets are better than one, Ariana Grande posted a photo from this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, which shows the pint-sized singer kissing Miley Cyrus on the cheek. The image earned 1.84 million likes.
Aside from the celebrity stats, the photo-sharing app – which has more than 200 million users and sees 65 million pictures shared daily – also listed its top three global destinations from which photos were shared. Disneyland in California was the most geo-tagged location in the world, followed by Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and Times Square in New York.
Given the popularity of Kim and Kanye's sweet snap, it should come as no surprise that the most popular hashtag of the year was #love.
