Wayne Gretzky's 26-year-old daughter and her pro-golfer fiancé have named their baby boy Tatum. Fans long speculated that the couple would give their baby a moniker that began with the letter "T," as Paulina's brothers are named Trevor, Ty and Tristan.
On Thursday, (Jan. 22), Dustin retweeted a photo that showed the new dad kissing his adorable newborn son. The caption confirmed the baby name.
Just one day after confirming happy news of the birth, the new parents took to Instagram to share the first photo of their newborn with fans.
"Happiest day of our entire lives was welcoming our sweet baby boy into the world," Paulina captioned the sweet snap. Dustin re-posted the image, writing, "We are so blessed to have a happy and healthy baby boy."
"Paulina and I are happy to announce the arrival of our baby boy, who was born in Los Angeles on Monday morning, [Jan. 19]" Dustin, 30, said in a statement to E! News. "Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably and in great spirits."
He added: "We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received and plan to release further details in the coming days!"
In September, the pair announced that Canadian hockey legend Wayne Gretzky would become a grandfather for the first time and three months later, they celebrated with a glamorous baby shower, where the littlest Gretzky was gifted with navy-blue items from Pottery Barn.
The birth of his first son comes on the heels of Dustin's candid new interview with Sports Illustrated, which is out this week. In the magazine, he set the record straight over his mysterious absence from the PGA Golf Tour last year while giving fans rare insight into the A-list couple’s daily life.
“Over these past four or five months I’ve really grown up,” he says. “ I am starting to become the person I want my kids to look up to.”
