Top 12 celebrity lookalikes

Star Trek’s Chris Pine had an awkward encounter with a fan this week when he was mistaken for Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. “Someone wanted me to sign Ryan Reynolds’ headshot today,” Chris said during an interview. When asked if he went ahead and signed it anyway, the Into the Woods laughed and said, “I did!”

Although the two handsome stars bear only a slight resemblance, Chris chalked up the encounter to the general atmosphere of fandom at the festival.

“I haven’t been here in so long it takes a little while to get used to being thrown into that. It’s the tall thing, ‘ He’s tall and he has brown hair – follow him!’” he said, mimicking the fans at Sundance.

He’s not the only celebrity doppelgänger. Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has admitted he often gets mistaken for his celebrity lookalike Ed Sheeran (they both have flaming red hair and freckles), while costar Daniel Radcliffe revealed that a fan once handed him a headshot of Lord of the Rings actor Elijah Wood, which he simply signed, “I’m not Elijah Wood. Love, Daniel Radcliffe.”

It’s not just Hollywood that boasts starry lookalikes. With her shiny brown tresses and cute button nose, it’s been said that Canadian figure skater Tessa Virtue bears an uncanny resemblance to the Duchess of Cambridge– though Kate’s also been compared to Prince Carl Philip of Swedens’ fiancée, Sofia Hellqvist, as well as actress Kate Beckinsale and former reality TV star Lauren Conrad.

Here, we take a look at other stars who have a celebrity doppelgänger!
