The best celebrity April Fools Day pranks of 2015

What’s better than a perfectly executed prank? One that involves a celebrity, of course! There was no shortage of star-studded tomfoolery on April 1 this year, with A-listers like Rihanna, Katie Couric and Sam Smith getting in on the April Fools’ Day fun.

Some stars stuck to the tried and true, announcing fake pregnancies, engagements and unlikely hookups. The Bachelor’sSean Lowe certainly got the surprise of a lifetime when his wife, Catherine Giudici, debuted her “baby bump” on Instagram. (As it turns out, the bump was really just “a burger.”)

Meanwhile, Property Brother host Drew Scott, 36, seemingly proposed to his girlfriend of more than four years, Linda Phan, with the pretty brunette showing off her enormous diamond sparkler in an Instagram video. As it turns out, the Canadian HGTV star is not betrothed – and his twin brother, Jonathan Scott, was less than impressed with the stunt. (“You’re a jerk! Mom will not be pleased!” he commented.)

Handsome Harry Potter stars Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe also conjured up a prank for April 1, posting an intimate black-and-white photo of themselves lying shirtless together on social media, which caused an instant frenzy with fans. Tom captioned the snap, “May as well just say it. We’re together now x #drarry.”

The best celebrity pranks, however, are arguably the ones that the stars perform on each other. Ever since Ashton Kutcher’s PUNK’d became a worldwide phenomenon, fans love watching celebrities pull fast ones on their fellow A-listers, and this year, Rihanna did not disappoint. The Barbadian beauty staged an elaborate prank on Jimmy Kimmel at 1 a.m., in which she and her entourage woke up the talk-show host for an impromptu dance party in his bedroom.
