Aunties Beyoncé and Solange enjoy cute play dates with Blue Ivy and Julez

Doting aunts Solange Knowles and Beyoncé Knowles enjoyed one-on-one playdates with their respective niece and nephew this week, swapping kids so each could spend some quality time with Blue Ivy and Julez.

Perhaps giving Jay Z and Beyoncé some time to celebrate their seven-year anniversary – which fell on April 4 – Solange took niece Blue out to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

In a photo that was posted to Solange’s Instagram, the three-year-old cutie admires one art installation in awe. The 28-year-old singer captioned the snap, “This little light of yours…”

Another photo shows Blue watching a projection of Kahlil Joseph's Double Conscience projection. This one includes the caption, “Experiencing greatness with two of my favourite people.”

That same week, Beyoncé, 33, had some fun with her 10-year-old nephew, Julez, who is Solange’s son from her previous marriage to ex-husband Daniel Smith.

The “Drunk In Love” singer also took to Instagram to share a playful photo with fans, which shows the silly pair sticking their tongues out for the camera.

According to Vulture magazine, Solange values having a tight-knit family and loves that she and her sister are so close. “Blue comes over, I babysit," she said. "[Beyoncé] takes Julez sometimes for the weekend. [Blue] and Julez are going to grow up more like sister and brother than cousins."

And in 2012, when Blue was just four months old, Beyoncé gushed about Julez, revealing that part of her decision to take a year-long break from music was to spend more time with her family, including her beloved nephew. "I was going to give myself a year to do the things I never get to do. Simple things like play with my nephew, pick him up from school, visit museums," she told Essence magazine. "I was looking for tiny moments that would speak to my heart and make me smile."
