Bruce Jenner talks family in interview: 'They're the only ones I'm concerned with'

Bruce Jennerhas always been a family man, long sharing that his children are his top priority on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and in interviews. In a new promotional clip for his upcoming two-hour interview with Diane Sawyer, the former Olympian stresses how important it is that they don't experience any fallout from his coming out.

" They're the only ones I'm concerned with," the 65-year-old tells his host. "I can't let myself hurt them."

During the interview, which is scheduled to air on ABC on April 24, Bruce is supported by his four oldest children; Burt, 36, Casey, 34, Brandon, 33, and 31-year-oldBrody, who all appear in the clip. He is also a father to Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and a step-father toKim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian.

As determined as he is to take care of his family, Bruce is also focused on staying true to himself. " My whole life has been getting me ready for this," he tells Diane in the promo video.

This third clip is the most revealing yet ahead of Bruce's highly-anticipated interview with Diane, in which he is expected to speak at length about his long-rumoured gender transition. A voiceover in the first 24-second clip confirmed that Bruce's exclusive talk with Diane will cover "the journey, the decisions and the future".

Bruce, who divorced wife Kris Jenner after 22 years of marriage in Dec. 2014, is thought to have chosen to speak to Diane about his decision to become a woman because she has always been very supportive of the LGBT community.

Bruce has maintained a dignified silence amidst increasing speculation about his appearance this year – but in February, his mother Esther confirmed that her son was transitioning to become a woman.

"I just learned about (his transition). Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long, long talk about it," she told Radar Online.

" I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, a wonderful public speaker," Esther added. "He instils enthusiasm in people. He's gifted.

"Right now I am more proud of him for what he’s allowing himself to do. I am more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal around his neck. He deserves all the respect. I love him whole-heartedly. I love him like I always have."
