Newly single Miley Cyrus spotted with Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus may be single again, having broken up with Patrick Schwarzenegger after five months, but it seems old habits die hard as the pop star was recently spotted with ex-flame Liam Hemsworth. The starlet and the Australian actor had dinner at Soho House in West Hollywood over the weekend.

Miley, 22, is said to have ended her relationship with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son earlier this month because they are at different stages of their life. Patrick, 21, is a college student, who recently enjoyed himself on a high-spirited spring break in Cabo San Lucas. While, the singer is known to let her hair down and party, she is also focused on her chart-topping music career.

Liam, 25, understands the pressures on her as he has his own high-flying career, starring in the Hunger Games franchise.

According to US site hollywoodlife.com, Miley and Liam had been in contact for months before their dinner date.

“Miley had been talking and texting with Liam for months and months,” a source told the website. “It was a friendship that at times got a little flirty. She never told Patrick about it as she knew how jealous of Liam he was.”

The source added that Liam was “her first serious love”. “Liam still has part of her heart and always will. Liam was older and taught her things. She looked up to him.”

Their relationship began on the set of The Last Song in 2009. In 2012, the young lovers announced their engagement only to call it off the following year when the pop princess was going through her controversial Wrecking Ball phase.

However, Liam recently spoken of his enduring affection for his former fiancée. He stated that they would “always be best friends” and they had “an instantaneous and powerful connection”.
