Carrie Underwood's weekend turned out to be a bit more dramatic than expected when she was forced to smash her car window to free her four-month-old son Isaiah and pet dogs. The "See You Again" singer shared the news with fans on Twitter after the Saturday morning (July 11) ordeal.
"When your dogs manage to lock themselves, all your stuff & the baby in the car & you have to break a window to get in #WhatAreTheChances," she tweeted.
The mother of one later clarified that she didn't break the window herself, but had a little help from a family member.
"I should clarify. My bro-in-law was actually the window breaker in the 'dogs-locked-the-car-door' incident today! But all is good now!" she wrote, adding: "Minus the broken window, of course!"
Carrie welcomed her baby son Isaiah Michael with husband Mike Fisher on Feb. 27, and shared her first adorable photo of the newborn in March. The 32-year-old is clearly besotted with her son and has shared several sweet snaps of him along with his hockey player father, including one which she captioned: "They have my heart…"
The singer also spoke about her joy at being a mother in an interview with E! News in June, saying: "The coolest part, right now he's smiling and laughing, so that's kind of all I want to make him do is smile and laugh, and he's super cuddly.
"You can tell he's just going to be a sweet guy and that makes me so happy!"
Carrie's husband Mike is equally smitten, and opened up about his experiences of being a new father in March.
"There's nothing better than being a dad," he told NHL.com. "Obviously the most important thing is everyone is feeling good and mum's feeling good.
"We're definitely blessed to have him join us in our lives. There's no better feeling."
