The 2015 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has been one for the books, from spectacular red-carpet fashions to splashy movie premieres, plus a seemingly endless parade of parties celebrating the top films during the 10-day festival. For the third year running, jeweller extraordinaire Birks teamed up with Telefilm Canada for an A-list affair celebrating the women who have made an indelible mark on the industry as actors or directors. This year's Birks Diamond Tribute to Women in Film took over the Shangri-La hotel (mere steps away from celebrity favourite Soho House Toronto - points for convenience!) to toast a formidable list of Canadian talent: actors Catherine O'Hara, Katie Boland, Karine Vanasse and Suzanne Clément, plus directors Patricia Rozema, Sophie Deraspe, Kari Skogland, Anne Émond and Ingrid Veninger. Also on hand sipping cocktails at the spirited event? Actresses Natalie Brown, Tara Spencer-Nairn and Lauren Holly, director Deepa Mehta and socialites Ainsley Kerr and Jenna Bitove, to name a few. A definite jewel in the crown of TIFF parties!

Across the city, notable films were also treated to fêtes filled with famous faces. Kate Mara and Shia LaBeouf took over Soho House to celebrate Man Down, while The Meddler's Susan Sarandon posed with J.K. Simmons, Jason Ritter and director Lorene Scafaria. Hot on the heels of her special In Conversation With event, during which Salma Hayek discussed her life and career, the actress joined Adrien Brody, Gerard Butler and AMBI Gala hosts Monika Bacardi and Andrea Iervolino to toast Septembers of Shiraz. And after stealing the show on the red carpet at the Sky premiere in an eye-catching Chanel Haute Couture ensemble, Diane Kruger joined costar Norman Reedus and director Fabienne Berthaud (with whom she's collaborated four times!) and kicked up her heels at Soho House.
