More than 850 guests donned their black-tie finest to help vulnerable children thrive in Toronto. For the 29th year, the Children's Aid Foundation's Teddy Bear gala treated notable guests (think Amazing Race Canada host Jon Montgomery and Cityline's Tracy Moore) to a feel-good evening. The mouth-watering menu, courtesy of Splendido's Victor Barry, and performance by former youth in care with VIVA! Youth Singers were almost as magical as the $1.4 million raised to help kids living in the welfare system.
It was a supremely fashionable bash for the launch of hairstylist Tony Pham's LAC + CO, a stunning new salon/boutique in Toronto. Two floor-to-ceiling windows with hanging flowers gave passersby a peek at the guests toasting their hair guru, from the ever-fiesty Beckerman sisters to Jessica Mulroney, Jay Strut and Greta Constantine designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong. A fabulous blowout was definitely the dress code as the champagne flowed and guests took in the carefully curated collection of bags, accessories, sunnies, candles and more.
A who's who of Toronto's fashion elite were also on hand to ogle the wares of up-and-coming womenswear designer Aleks Susak, who welcomed the Toronto Fashion Incubator's Susan Langdon, socialite Ainsley Kerr, Mr. D's Naomi Sneickus, celebrity hairstylist Jie Matar and more to a luxe private home for her Fall/Winter 2015 presentation. The former model launched her eponymous label in 2014, and utilized a number of intricately woven blues, greens, yellows and white to create her winter fairytale-themed collection.
