Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are back to making beautiful music together

Is love in the air again for Canada’s former super couple Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger? Nothing has been confirmed, but it’s clear that the friendly exes aren’t letting their breakup come between their shared love of music. The “Complicated” singer took to Instagram on Tuesday (Mar. 8) to share a picture from their recent jam session, fuelling speculation that they might be ready to give their romance another try.

The picture sent the couple’s fans into a frenzy, with many voicing their hope for a reconciliation. “Avril + Chad = Chavril.... True Love,” wrote one supporter while another noted, “You’re so beautiful when you’re together.” The pair announced their separation in Sept. 2015.

This isn’t the first time as of late that the former spouses sparked talk of a reunion. Last month, Avril and Chad walked the red carpet together at Clive Davis’ annual pre-GRAMMY bash. Inside the event, the Napanee native and Nickelback frontman dined with rock and roll royalty, including Alice Cooper and KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. Avril later shared pictures on Instagram from her "lovely night."

Grammy Party ..... Feeling great. Lovely night.

Judging by Avril’s beaming smile, it appears that she is both happy and healthy. The singer continues to receive treatment for Lyme disease, which she was diagnosed with in Oct. 2014. In addition to making new music, the 31-year-old has been hard at work on the animated movie Charming. Avril voices the character of Snow White, who in the film battles it out with fellow princesses Lenore (Demi Lovato) and Cinderella (Ashley Tisdale) for Prince Charming’s heart. The film is expected to hit theatres in 2017.
