Julianne Hough jetted up to Toronto to spend Easter weekend with her fiancé and new Toronto Maple Leaf Brooks Laich. The Los Angeles based actress and her BFF Nina Dobrev watched the NHL star in action at the Air Canada Centre before going out for a post-game meal. The trio were in great spirits despite the Maple Leafs' loss to the Boston Bruins.
The Grease Live star made the most of her short Canadian getaway by playing archery tag with Nina and her XXX 3 co-star Ruby Rose and former Degrassi star Shannon Kook, before joining in on the Dobrev's Easter celebrations. "Easter egg coloring time!!! Thanks momma Dobrev for including me on your family tradition!" wrote the star on Instagram, alongside a picture of eggs ready to be dyed.
Brooks, who was traded from the Washington Capitals to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Feb. 29, is loving his new home and it looks like the city has also won over his fiancée. The star has embraced her future-husband's new area code, writing "#newresident #newtown #newfriends #canadian #eh," on social media.
The hockey player's trade has done little to impede the couple's wedding plans as Julianne herself admitted that they are in no rush to walk down the aisle. The star has said that due to their busy work schedules, they plan to have a long engagement.
