While promoting his latest film, Ryan Gosling hasn't shied away from gushing about his growing family. When asked how he's faring in a household that now has a three-to-one ratio of women to men – he and Eva Mendes have 20-month-old Esmeralda and newborn Amada Lee – the 35-year-old revealed that he's definitely smitten.
"It's heaven," he told Good Morning America. "It's like walking through a field of flowers every day. I live with angels. It's a ray of sunshine in a dark time, honestly."
And while his The Nice Guys co-star Russell Crowe might be a standup fellow, Ryan was clear that he won't be inviting the actor to babysit his daughters anytime soon. When asked whether he'd consider Russell for the important task, Ryan joked to People, “God, no.”
Russell, who is father to sons Tennyson, 9, and Charles, 12, begged to differ. “I’m the best babysitter," he said. “[Ryan’s] just worried that I’d be teaching his daughters how to make cocktails, the right way to wear a beret — things that he doesn’t want them to know about yet.”
Ryan, who secretly welcomed his second child with longtime love Eva on April 29, is already looking forward to the day he gets to take his daughters to Disneyland. "I can't wait to go," the former Mickey Mouse Club member confessed to People. “I miss it.”
The 35-year-old recently admitted that fatherhood has changed his life. He said, “It sounds so clichéd, but I never knew that life could be this fun and this great.”
