National Burger Day: Celebrities eating burgers

By Ava Baccari

When you strip away the cameras and the red carpets you get glimpses of times when celebrities are just like us. After a long day on set (or a long night at the Oscars!), famous faces like Diane Kruger, Gigi Hadid and Priyanka Chopra also look to kick off their heels and chow down on a juicy burger.

After Brie Larson won her Best Actress Oscar at the ceremony in March, the Room star quickly changed into Chucks and bit into an In-N-Out burger at the Vanity Fair after-party. Actress Diane Kruger, still clad in her gorgeous Reem Acra gown, clearly shared Brie's sentiment when she posted a photo to Instagram indulging her fast-food craving. "Pure grace and elegance," the Sky star cheekily captioned the shot as she took a big bite.

Even models (yes, models) can't resist feasting on fare from the now-famous California hamburger joint. Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid have both shared evidence of their fast-food indulgences at In-N-Out Burger (while German model Heidi Klum prefers a classic McDonald's Big Mac).

'It' model Gigi even went on to say that treating herself to a burger every now and then is part of her approach to maintaining balance and her undeniably svelte figure. "You find how you feel your best – whether you feel better when you're eating gluten-free or whatever it is," she told Refinery29, adding with a laugh, "I feel better when I eat a burger every other night." Keep that in mind the next time you need a reason to chow down!

Priyanka Chopra enjoyed a taste of America while dressed to impress.

It's for that reason – and a universal love of double cheeseburgers – that we're celebrating National Burger Day (May 28). And to help justify your indulgence, we rounded up photos of beloved celebrities – including Priyanka Chopra and President Obama – taking a very satisfying bite out of a hamburger.
