Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston take their whirlwind romance to Rome

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have taken their whirlwind romance on a series of milestone adventures of late, many of which a couple would take months and even years to tick off their list. They've travelled to Suffolk to spend time with Tom's mother and also Nashville to visit Taylor's parents.

Now, less than two weeks after news of their relationship broke, the couple are in one of the most romantic cities in the world and enjoying the sights of Rome. Singer Taylor, 26, and rumoured Bond actor Tom, 35, were spotted by eagle-eyed fans as they toured the Colosseum before enjoying a romantic dinner.

Although the loved-up pair have attempted to stay under the radar by travelling on the "Shake it Off" hit maker's private jet, they smiled happily as shocked fans snapped them walking hand in hand.

Tom and Taylor's romance was confirmed when they were spotted kissing near her home in Rhode Island on 14 June – just two weeks after her high-profile relationship with Calvin Harris ended.

According to sources close to the pop star, Taylor has told friends she is already "in love" with Tom and insisted she's "never felt this way".

Speaking to E! News, the insider added: "She is having a blast traveling with him. He is very romantic and attentive toward her. He is extremely charming. He also makes sure she feels safe wherever they go together. She is on cloud nine and really enjoying this quality time they are spending."

Along with Calvin, Taylor's ex boyfriends include One Direction frontman Harry Styles and US singer John Mayer. Last year Tom was rumoured to be dating actress Elizabeth Olsen, but the pair insisted they were just good friends.
