After playing Julia Child and Margaret Thatcher, it's safe to say that Meryl Streep knows a thing or two about biopics. So when asked who she'd like to see bring her own life story to the big screen, the actress was confident in her casting decision. "Amy Schumer, of course," revealed the star during an interview with the Huffington Post.
The mother of four currently stars in Florence Foster Jenkins, a drama inspired by the true story of a New York heiress and socialite, who despite having little talent dreams of being an opera singer.
The role required the Oscar winner to showcase some hilariously horrible singing. “The first time I heard Meryl, it was up there on the funniest things I’ve ever heard. Not just bad but hilariously bad. Sheer genius,” revealed co-star Hugh Grant.
The Trainwreck star was quick to respond to Meryl's casting call, simply tweeting, "Holy s***."

While she waits to be called to set, Amy is keeping herself very busy. In addition to writing and starring in her Emmy-nominated series Inside Amy Schumer, the actress just wrapped a project with Goldie Hawn. The duo's yet-to-be-titled mother-daughter action comedy marks the Private Benjamin star's return to the big screen after a fourteen-year break.
