Avril Lavigne and Ryan Cabrera spark romance rumours with cozy date night

Avril Lavigne and Ryan Cabrera are reportedly music's newest couple. The duo were spotted out in New York on Wednesday (Aug. 18) enjoying a romantic dinner at STK Midtown.

A patron at the restaurant told Us Weeklythat the singers "sipped rosé and shared seared foie gras, tomato watermelon salad, and a classic filet." They also are said to have sneaked in some kisses during the meal.

This isn't the first time that Avril and Ryan have sparked romance rumours. Back in Oct. 2015, the pair was seen exiting a Los Angeles grocery store after purchasing acouple of pumpkins. After running their Halloween errand the duo returned to Avril’s pad. Soon after it was revealed that Ryan had moved in with the "Complicated" singer after breaking up with his girlfriend.

Ryan, 34, recently addressed his love life in an interview with Page Six, saying, "Nowadays I tend to keep all love life stuff just completely separate just because you know how it is. You try to keep it private as much as you can.”

Next month marks one year since Avril announced her split from Chad Kroeger. The Canadian couple were married for two years before they decided to separate in Sept. 2015.

Chad Kroger and Avril Lavigne announced their split in Sept. 2016.

"It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today," wrote the 31-year-old on Instagram, adding, "Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support."

Even though their marriage didn't work out, Chad and Avril's friendship has endured. They have continued to collaborate on musical projects and have been by each other's side at a variety of events, including the 2016 Junos.
