Jamie Oliver introduces baby boy River Rocket with the sweetest photo

Jamie Oliver has taken to Instagram to officially introduce his newborn baby boy to the world. The TV chef and father of five posted an adorable photo of his "little gift" and confirming his son's full name.

Posing with his wife Jools and the couple's other son Buddy Bear Maurice and youngest daughter Petal Blossom Rainbow, Jamie was the definition of a proud dad.

"Wow what a Hot Day today guys," he wrote. "So the littlest one is stared out and sleeping again.....it's probably polite to formally introduce the new boy to you, his names River Rocket Oliver we think it suits him and he's a little gift and we are all very happy.... Thanks for all your kind wishes big love jamie and gang X X X."

Jamie's post comes a day after his wife Jools dropped a heavy hint about their baby's creative moniker. Clearly a lot of thought went into choosing the perfect name for their son, as Jamie and Jools waited two weeks before announcing it.

The doting mum shared a photo of a piece of nursery wall art that read: "Dream Big River."

'River' is particular significant for celebrity chef Jamie, 41. He was first noticed by the BBC while working as a sous chef in the acclaimed River Café in Fulham back in 1997.

He made an unscripted appearance in a documentary about the Italian restaurant, which led to him being given his own BBC show, The Naked Chef, two years later.

Jools has previously insisted everyone should have fun when it comes to naming their babies.

She told Gurgle: "They all have more than one name because I couldn't decide. I'm not sure where Petal Rainbow came from – apparently it's a My Little Pony! I wanted to call her Rainbow but Jamie told me to calm down.

"With Buddy it was quite fun choosing a boy's name, as I hadn't done it before. And I hate people's opinions on names. Whatever you call your baby is your decision."
