George and Amal Clooney's dog gets a lead role on his film set

They say every dog has its day and for George and Amal Clooney’s pet pooch Millie, it came during a visit to the set of the A-lister’s new film Suburbicon. Keen to catch up with her actor-director husband, Amal brought along their five-year-old Bassett Hound, who was adopted from a dog shelter last year.

Having first collared his wife for a kiss, George then took the lead as Amal – dressed in embroidered flared jeans by Alice + Olivia – made her way up the steps to his trailer. It was then Millie’s turn to be swept off her feet as George picked her up and followed Amal.

Two years after tying the knot, the couple remain doggedly devoted to balancing work commitments with spending quality time together.

With George, 55, in Los Angeles filming the comedy-drama, co-written by the Coen brothers, barrister Amal, 38, has also been spotted on this side of the pond on numerous occasions, clearly keen to be by husband’s side as often as possible.
