Congratulations to Drew Scott and his long-time love Linda Phan! The adorable duo got engaged in Toronto on Tuesday evening (Dec. 13).
Following the engagement, the Property Brothers star jumped on Instagram to share the good news with his fans, writing, "From the first moment I met Linda, back in 2010, I knew she was special. And last night I became the luckiest man on the planet when she said #ido."
Drew revealed to People that the romantic proposal was weeks in the making, and that he even jetted to New York to record a special version of Train's hit "Marry Me." The personalized track was played while the couple dined at Piano Piano in downtown Toronto. “I’ve had to be as stealthy as a ninja to pull this off,” he admitted, adding that he carried Linda's ring around for weeks to ensure she didn't find it.
The special moment was capped off with a stunning cake that Drew had decorated with illustrations from one of Linda's favourite books, Dr. Seuss's Oh the Places You'll Go. He had the pastry chef change the title to Oh the Places We'll Go.
After Linda said "Yes!" the couple toasted their happy news with friends and family, including Drew's brothers Jonathan and J.D, at an engagement party close by. Even that celebration was clouded in secrecy, with Linda believing she was heading to a holiday bash for Scott Brothers Entertainment.
