Michael Bublé's friends in the industry are stepping up to help him further his latest projects while he takes time off from day-to-day work to take care of his son, Noah.
One such pal is Derek Hough who has stepped in to create, direct and star in the video for the singer's new single "I Believe In You."
“It was an absolute privilege to be a part of it,” the Dancing with the Stars pro told People about the opportunity. “I’ve been a huge fan of Michael for a long time."
Derek added. “I think that he embodies positivity. He’s a force for good -- not only with his music, but also as a human being. He’s such a good guy and I only want to be a part of good things and positive things.”
On Facebook, he went on to say, “It’s been a pleasure to work on this project -- a positive story about everlasting love. Sending all that energy to Michael and his wonderful family #believeinyou."
According to a press release from Warner Bros. the video focuses on a couple's love story. When developing it, Derek kept thoughts of his grandparents' relationship in mind.
“My grandpa passed away this past year. My grandparents had been together for over 60 years. They danced together every morning and every evening," he added to People. "When I heard the song, I just kept picturing my grandparents and this love that lasted for such a long time. I wanted to show a love story that stood the test of time.”
The 31-year-old wrapped up the conversation by saying that the shoot has inspired him to have children. “I have so many nieces and nephews and I love them dearly, but I’m always happy to give them back at the end of the day. But by the end of filming, I was inspired to start a family.”
In early-February, Michael took to Facebook to let his fans know three-year-old Noah, who was diagnosed with cancer in November 2016, is responding to treatment well.
“We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future of our little boy,” he said. "He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us. Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words."
He wrapped up the note by saying: "We'd like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us. As we continue this journey we are greatly comforted by your support and love."
