The Weeknd and Selena Gomez enjoy romantic date at Toronto's aquarium

It looks like things are getting serious between Selena Gomez and The Weeknd! The singer brought his ladylove home to Toronto last weekend to presumably meet his family and take in the sights and sounds of his hometown. One of the duo's most romantic dates was to Ripley’s Aquarium, just next to The 6ix’s iconic CN Tower.

It was a date that several other stars have taken in the past, including Drake and Rihanna and Selena’s ex Justin Bieber and his former girlfriend Nicola Peltz.

The “Starboy” singer documented portions of the event on Instagram and Snapchat, sharing shots of Selena posing in front of jellyfish swimming in a gigantic tank; one even showed her sitting on his shoulders in an attempt to get a better view of the fish.

The Weeknd, born Abel Tesfaye, also posted some pictures of himself hanging out inside the aquarium.

It was the most public of a slew of romantic dates the pair had while in the city. Last week, they enjoyed some shopping in Yorkville and a private viewing of Get Out atYonge-Dundas Square. The 24- and 27-year-old even indulged in some of Toronto's most delicious restaurants, including a meal at the Thompson Diner and Japanese restaurant Blowfish.

Since going public with their relationship in January (they were spotted kissing in Santa Monica) the pair took their romance to Amsterdam and Italy.

Us Weekly reports the artists first felt a connection last year. "They really clicked musically when they were working on a song together," a source said. "Their chemistry was off the charts and she's really into him."

While E! News has been told, "They both didn't expect this to go as fast as it has but its fine by them... They are both happy and have a great connection, physically and mentally."
