In the short clip, Amy can be heard asking her father why he was crying. “The weather,” he joked, before admitting he’s about to meet the 71-year-old actress, who stars alongside Amy in the upcoming comedy Snatched.

The comedian could sense that her dad was excited yet nervous, so she tried her best to calm him down, urging him to “play it cool. You have to play it cool.” Goldie’s arrival had everyone, including Gordon, in tears. “Oh my god, I’m emotional too,” said the blond bombshell before giving Amy’s dad a sweet embrace.

One look at the Trainwreck star’s Instagram feed and it’s clear that she couldn’t get enough of the heartwarming moment. She later posted a beautiful portrait of her dad and Goldie with a simple heart emoji in the caption.

This isn’t the first time that Gordon and the Academy Award-winning actress have interacted. Last year, Amy shared a sweet video on Instagram of her father Facetiming with the Hollywood star.

The actress has opened up in the past about the close bond she shares with her father and the difficulties he has faced living with multiple sclerosis. Speaking with Barbara Walters in 2015, Amy explained, “Some days he’s really good and he’s with it and we’re joking around. And some days I go to visit my dad and it’s so painful. I can’t believe it.”
