It looks like Avril Lavigne has a new man in her life! The Canadian punk rocker was seen walking arm-in-arm with music producer J.R. Rotem as they exited The Nice Guy in LA on Aug 4. The 41-year-old songwriter has produced for a variety of artists, including Gwen Stefani and Rihanna and was once linked to pop princess Britney Spears.

The singer was last rumoured to be dating her friend and roommate Ryan Cabrera. The pair was spotted out and about in LA and New York in 2016, but haven’t been pictured together for months.

While love might be in the air for the 32-year-old, Avril isn’t letting anything get in the way of her music. She gave her fans the ultimate Christmas present last year when she announced that her new album will be released in 2017. She shared a photo of herself at a piano with a touching message to her admirers, “I wanted to first thank my fans for your patience & support during my time away throughout my battle with Lyme Disease over the past 2 years,” she wrote, adding, “I can't wait to open up and share my heart with you!”

Although Avril’s been tight-lipped about her newest project—her first since her self-titled album was released in 2013—she has been dropping hints about collaborating with her ex-husband Chad Kroeger. In March, the singer posted a photo of the duo in the studio, proving that there is no bad blood between the former spouses.

In early September 2015, the singer announced her separation from Chad with a heartfelt caption beneath a photo of them on their wedding day. Avril wrote, “It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments,” adding, “We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other.”
