Reese Witherspoon’s daughter Ava is like a second mother to brother Tennessee

By Meaghan Wray

Reese Witherspoon’s eldest child Ava, 17, is more than just her mini-me – she sometimes takes on the role of mom, too! Apparently, Reese’s youngest son Tennessee, 4, gets confused about who his real mom is and has even wished his big sister a happy Mother’s Day in the past.

The Legally Blonde star recently appeared on the cover of Southern Living magazine and opened up about the adorable dynamic forming between her three children. She told the glossy, “The kids all have funny and unique relationships with each other,” before adding, “Ava is like another parent to Tennessee, like his other mother. I think sometimes he even gets confused — he told Ava ‘Happy Mother’s Day!’”

About the relationship between Tennessee and Deacon, 13, the Hollywood A-lister said, “And Tennessee is just sort of like Deacon’s protégé,” she adds. “He follows his older brother around the house all day.”
