By Meaghan Wray

Madonna has garnered more than a few fans in her lifetime, but it appears her biggest one is her very own son, David! The world-renowned musician recently posted a video of her boy adorably belting out one of her classic hits, “Holiday.”

In tune with the song’s lyrics, David had a good reason to celebrate – it was his 12 th birthday! Madonna captioned the sweet video, “Go David!! Its your birthday!! It’s time to celebrate!”

The 59-year-old pop star also shared a heartwarming photo of baby David, who she adopted from Malawi in 2006. Madonna is pictured looking back at her son with a big smile on her face. The caption reads, “Happy Birthday to My Beautiful baby Boy!! David Banda!! I wish I could still carry you Bapu Style!”

David now lives in New York with his famous mom, but the GRAMMY winner is determined to ensure her son stays connected with his birthplace. In 2006, Madonna launched Raising Malawi—an initiative aiming to bring an end to extreme poverty and hardship endured by Malawi’s vulnerable children. Her son opened up about his country at a fundraiser in December, telling the crowd, “My name is David. Now you know a little bit about Malawi and how I met my mother … I realize I’m one of the lucky ones.”

To mark her birthday in August, Madonna shared a rare family photo of all six of her children –sons Rocco, 17, and David, 12 and her four daughters, Lourdes, 20,Mercy, 11, and four-year-old twins Esther and Stella.
