Ryan Gosling recalls his daughter’s first visit to New York

Welcome to New York!Ryan Gosling's youngest daughter Amada's first trip to the Big Apple was one for the books. The Hollywood star dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (Oct. 3) where he recalled introducing his little girl to the city, while he and his family — including partner Eva Mendes, 43, and their three-year-old daughter Esmeralda — were in Manhattan for his recent Saturday Night Live hosting gig.

“I brought her to the window in the morning and I said, ‘Sweetheart, welcome to New York,'” the 36-year-old shared. “And two cars went smash, and smoke started pouring out of the cars, and these two guys got out and I won’t repeat the hand gestures for you, but I just quickly covered her eyes and ran away from the window.”

The late night host laughed, “She learned to give the finger in New York. Wow. That’s a very New York experience." Jimmy added, “That’s about as good as it gets.”

After successfully hosting the 43rd season premiere of SNL on September 30, Ryan celebrated with his love Eva and a number of stars like Beyoncé and JAY-Zat an after-party at TAO Uptown in NYC. The happy couple was spotted holding hands as they made their way into the restaurant, looking chic in retro ensembles.

Last year, the La La Land star opened up about parenthood and Eva’s role as a mother. “I only know what it's like to have my kids,” Ryan told GQ. “And in my situation, Eva's the dream mother, and they're dream babies, and it's like a dream that I'm having right now. I'm dreaming it all. So I feel so lucky.” He continued: "When you meet your kids you realize that they deserve great parents. And then you have your marching orders and you have to try and become the person that they deserve.”
