Olivia Wilde shares adorable tribute to daughter Daisy

Olivia Wilde celebrated daughter Daisy Josephine’s first birthday on Wednesday (Oct 10) with a heartfelt #GirlPower tribute! Known for being a fierce feminist, Olivia wrote passionately about creating a better world for her daughter and encouraged her curiosity for the world she will grow up in.

The 33-year-old actress, now engaged to Jason Sudeikis, shared a gorgeous photo of her baby girl peering curiously out of their home window, her little hands propped up on the back of their sofa. The mother of two wrote, “My curious, courageous one, I promise we'll work hard to make this place better for you and your sisters everywhere. We've taken some hits recently, but I believe we are even more determined because of it.”

She continued: “We dream of a time when you won't have to apologize for your brilliance, or sacrifice your self-respect to prove your worthiness. This world is yours, kiddo. We're just the cleanup crew. I love you. Happy birthday. #internationaldayofthegirl.”

Being a working mother is difficult, but somehow the Hollywood actress finds time for it all. Not only is she raising her daughter to be a strong and independent toddler, she’s also making sure she’s cultured with a little bit of Broadway.

Olivia made her stage debut this summer in an adaptation of George Orwell’s 1984. Just before the opening night, the Drinking Buddies star shared a totally adorable selfie with a toothy-grinned Daisy. She captioned the snapshot, “How Daisy and I feel about #1984onBroadway officially opening TONIGHT! Aaahhhhh!!!!!”

Though the one-year-old was the star of Instagram on her birthday, Olivia and Jason share son Otis, too, who’s equally as adorable. The youngster loves his baby sister, but as the actress explained during an appearance on Late Night with Stephen Colbert , he is at times a little bossy. “He’s like a drill sergeant. I don’t know who let him watch Full Metal Jacket, but he is so hard on her,” the mom joked to Stephen Colbert during a summer appearance on The Late Late Show . She added jokingly that Otis puts Daisy in a “boot camp.”
