Jennifer Aniston has spoken about the lack of recognition she received for her new film Cake, after the actress failed to receive an Oscar nomination for her leading role. Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, Jennifer showed she had no hard feelings as she joked around with comedian Ellen. "I'm the number one snubbed!" Jennifer admitted to roars of laughter from the audience. "That's the silver lining." As the former Friends star laughed it off, she took a more serious note and expressed her amazement at just how well the drama had been reviewed by critics and other awarding bodies.

Jennifer Aniston gained three nominations for her role in Cake

"That's the crazy thing," said the 45-year-old beauty. "We're so shocked and amazed that we have had this much love at all for a movie that hasn't been released yet." Jennifer, who portrays a woman that suffers a terrible car accident and develops chronic pain, gained three nominations for her performance – one for the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards and the Critics' Choice Awards. The Hollywood star, who is engaged to actor Justin Theroux, recently stepped out to attend the glittering Golden Globes ceremony, where she turned heads in a halter neck Saint Laurent black gown that featured a thigh-high split.

Jennifer made headlines not only for her nomination and her enviable legs, but also for her cheeky encounter with Kate Hudson. The We're the Millers star was pictured grabbing Kate's bottom, in photos that immediately went viral online. "Well my gosh, look at her," said Jennifer, when asked about the moment by Ellen. "It's such an irresistible tush. And I'm allowed, women are allowed." After Ellen said she knew it would be a talking point after, Jennifer added: "I think Kate did too. Kate did actually say, 'Oh that's gonna go everywhere.'"

Speaking at the Critics' Choice Awards last Thursday, Jennifer did admit she felt some disappointment about the Oscar snub. "I'd be lying if there wasn't a little ah," she told Access Hollywood. "But after that there's a lot of, 'But look at tonight, look at the Globes, look at the SAGs!'" She also revealed that those who had been nominated for Best Actress, including Reese Witherspoon and Julianne Moore, had sent her their best wishes.
