Katy Perry launches new fragrance ‘Killer Queen’

Katy Perry made a killer entrance for her latest perfume launch in Berlin on Wednesday as she rode in on the back of a motorcycle while wearing a gothic schoolgirl outfit.

With her dark hair in Heidi-style braids and enormous hoop earrings, Katy sported a kooky tartan getup by Alice + Olivia, which she paired with knee-high socks and Christian Louboutin heeled booties.

The scent, called "Killer Queen,” is named after a song by Freddy Mercury’s band Queen. It’s described as a "floriental" fragrance with notes of wild berries and red velvet flower.

“Killer Queen has been in my vocabulary since I was 15, because of the song ‘Killer Queen’ by Queen,” Katy had previously explained. “Freddie Mercury painted the lyrics of this woman who I wanted to be. She seemed very powerful, and she captivated a room when she walked in."

The bottle is shaped like a red ruby and comes with its own golden sceptre.

"She is empowered and invincible, headstrong and beautiful, lethally gorgeous, and regally restless.

"Revolution is in the air. It’s time to overthrow convention. There’s a new queen in town, " reads the eau de parfum's grandiose description.

This is Katy's third fragrance; she already has two scents, "Purr" and “Meow.”
