Toronto’s Tie One On is auctioning off stars’ scarves, from Charlize Theron to Reese Witherspoon

From Kim Kardashian’s fur stole to Prince William’s regal neckties, there’s no shortage of celebrities wrapping themselves in designer scarves and George Clooney-worthy Windsor knots.

And for Toronto’s nine-to-five crowd, these chic sartorial accessories are the perfect way to add polish to a professional ensemble.

But too many people in the city don’t even have the basic clothing needed to apply for a job or even gain society’s respect – let alone a home to call their own. Enter: Tie One On. The annual event helps raise funds for the 5,000 homeless people currently living on Toronto’s streets.

Hosted this year by the CBC’s Mary Wiens, the fun and funky evening features a live, silent auction of celebrity clothing up for grabs – including scarves and ties from A-listers like Reese Witherspoon, George Stroumboulopoulous, Julianne Moore, Charlize Theron, Chris Hadfield and more.

Local food, wine, live music and a star-studded guest list round out the charitable event’s offerings.

Tie One On takes place on May 7 at the Hoxton. Get your tickets HERE.
