Amal Alamuddin ensured that all eyes were on her as she stepped out in various designer outfits -- including her gorgeous, custom-made Oscar de la Renta wedding gown -- during her wedding weekend, when she and George Clooney finally tied the knot.
From the moment she arrived in Venice, the London lawyer showed off her impeccable taste and fashion prowess.
Giving a nod to her Italian surroundings on the first day, Amal, 36, cut an elegant figure in a black and white striped Dolce & Gabbana dress.
As she cruised down Venice’s Grand Canal on a taxi boat with her then-fiancé George Clooney by her side, Amal looked every inch the groomed traveller. She completed her monochrome look with dark oversized sunglasses and a pair of black sling back heels.
Standing aboard the boat fittingly named ‘Amore’ with her and George’s friends including Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, Amal set the bar high for her fashion looks of the weekend.
Later that night, the raven-haired beauty slipped into a more dramatic outfit for her rehearsal dinner on the eve of her wedding.
Lady in red Amal wowed in an Alexander McQueen scarlet dress that featured a waterfall cut hem and striking black pattern. She added to her catwalk-ready look with a slick of red lipstick, a pair of dazzling drop earrings and had her brunette locks styled into voluminous curls.
Her first appearance as Mrs Clooney on Sunday, at around lunch time after her Saturday night wedding to George, saw Amal score even higher in the style stakes.
The actor’s new wife flaunted her statuesque figure in a thigh-skimming Giambattista Valli Couture frock that showed off her toned legs. The white summer dress featured a playful red and pink floral pattern laced across the front, which Amal paired with simple nude stilettos.
George and Amal said “I do” on Saturday 27 September at the seven-star Aman Canal Grande hotel in the Palazzo Papadopoli.
