Canada’s Best Dressed 2014: Must-have closet staples

From a great pair of knee-high boots to an impeccable black tuxedo, there are certain staples that every man and woman should own to be prepared for any occasion.

And in the art of dressing, who better to turn to than our 2014 list of best-dressed Canadians.

Some on the list, like fashion director Yael Kanter and Canada’s Smartest Person host Jessi Cruickshank, choose pieces with great versatility (think: a perfectly tailored leather jacket or an ankle boot).

Others, like actor/director Jason Priestley, think the most adaptable items come in the form of accessories – in the Call Me Fitz alum’s opinion, scarves.

We’ve gathered a selection of staple items from this year’s Canada’s Best Dressed list to help you build the perfect wardrobe.
