Get the look: Kate’s little black lace frock in New York City

By Sarah Kelsey

Leave it to Kate (née Middleton) to make a fashion statement that will inspire how we dress over the holidays. Upon her arrival in New York, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing a black lace dress from British design house Beulah London. She donned the frock for a dinner party at a private residence in Gramercy Park benefiting the Royal Foundation.

The look, with its transparent black-lace sleeves and knee-grazing length, was similar to a black Diane Von Furstenberg full-length gown that Prince George's 32-year-old mom wore back in November to the Royal Variety Show at The Palladium in London.

In both cases, she accessorized with simple heels, chic hair (see how to get her big, bouncy curls here!) and her husband, Prince William.

While Kate's look from the U.S. tour retails for approximately $1,000, we scoured several online shops to find a style you can snap up at a more attainable price.
