If Kim Kardashian is an arbiter of the latest style trends, it's safe to assume fur is back in fashion. The 34-year-old star was spotted sporting a grey faux fur coat at New York City's JFK Airport on Sunday, inspiring us to find some fun furry pieces you can easily add to your wardrobe!
The Keeping up with the Kardashians star made a brief stop in the city to surprise makeup artist-pal Mario Dedivanoci, who was giving a talk, and to spend time with her best bud, Jonathan Cheban.
This isn't, of course, the first time North's mom has been spotted rocking animal pelts, real or fake. We've seen her in everything from a fox-tail scarf to black fur vests. Kim has even adorned her feet with fluffy tufts by wearing Céline suede sandals with fur lining while out on a date with Kanye.
SEE HOW HELLO STAFFERS WEAR FUR!
The fabric has always been a controversial sartorial statement to make. Some style stars argue that wearing real fuzzy items is inhumane - Pamela Anderson, Pink and Alicia Silverstone are all fur-free. Others, like Olivia Palermo, Kate Moss and Rachel Zoe, have been spotted in ensembles both real and faux.
Whatever your position on the matter, the good news is that there are plenty of items on the market that’ll help you achieve the sophisticated and edgy look in a way that supports your stance.
The only thing to keep in mind when donning fur is to keep the rest of your ensemble simple. Much like jewellery, your fuzzy item should be thought of as a standout accessory.
With that in mind, we scoured several eye-catching, furry items you can wear through winter and into spring. Shop our gallery!
